Entry 000 · Coming soon
Building my way out, one entry at a time.
I’m Diego. I’m in my 50s. I work for the post office, and I want out. So I’m building a business of my own, and I’m filming it while it happens, before I know how it ends.
Day 2of the log.
Started Nov. 5, 2026.
01 · What this is
A logbook, not a highlight reel.
Most stories about leaving a job get told after it worked. This one gets told on the way. Each entry is one honest update: what I tried, what worked, what didn’t and what I’m doing next.
- 01
Told while it happens.
You see the decisions while I’m still making them, including the ones I get wrong.
- 02
Built from what I already know.
Photography, design, branding, a gallery I ran, a cosmetology license. A lot of skills I’ve used for other people. Now I’m pointing them at something that’s mine.
- 03
AI as the help, not the face.
It handles the busywork: edits, captions, research, first drafts. The thinking, the talking and the final say stay with me.
02 · Latest entry
Entry 000 is on its way.
The first entry is who I am, where I’m starting from and what I’m building. It goes up on YouTube first, with written notes here.
Tell me when it’s up03 · Why now
I’d rather build the door than wait to be shown out.
Prices keep climbing. Every week there’s another headline about AI and jobs. People my age keep hearing that the rules changed and nobody sent the memo.
I’m not panicking. But I’ve lived long enough to know that waiting is a choice, too, and usually the risky one. So I’m building now, while I still have a steady job under me.
04 · For you, if…
If you’re thinking about your own way out
Maybe you’re 45, or 58, and good at your job, and tired of it. Maybe you’re wondering whether it’s too late to start something.
I’m wondering the same thing. Come along. If my mistakes save you a few of yours, this was worth filming.
